Just as FX’s hit show “American Horror Story”‘s fourth season is ending, they are announcing huge news about season five already. First, the star of this coming season will be none other than Lady Gaga. Second, most people’s favorite actress on the show, Jessica Lange, will not be returning.
Lange has played a main role in every other season, and the fans have loved it. I felt that season four was absolutely boring and uninteresting, but Lange was one of few redeemable parts of it.
However, her exit from the show should not really be a surprise. Before the premiere of Season 4, the actress had said that she would be leaving the show after Season 4.
At PaleyFest, Lange put an end to all the rumours and speculations that she might make an appearance in Season 5. “I’m done,” Lange was quoted as saying at the “American Horror Story: Freak Show” panel.
She also said that she “absolutely loved” doing the four characters – Constance Langdon, Sister Jude Martin, Fiona Goode and Elsa Mars – that she had the opportunity to play in the four seasons of the horror anthology series “Murder House,” “Asylum,” “Coven” and “Freak Show.”
“In all the madness, I’ve loved the writers and my actors and Ryan [Murphy, creator of the show] and the whole, I mean, insanity of it,” the actress said at PaleyFest, as quoted by BuzzFeed.
Junior Stephanie Auerbach said, “I’m incredibly upset about Jessica Lange leaving. She was my favorite part of every season. There is no way Lady Gaga could ever replace her, I guess we are all just going to have to wait until season five comes out.”
Now as for Lady Gaga I am excited, but also wary. A major star like her could bring even more interest to the show, which should make the producers and directors go all out on season five, but we have never seen Lady Gaga act. She has always been naturally freaky, though, which will absolutely fit with the show.
Now the major thing we do not know is the plot of season five. No fans know, but all of the rumors are definitely fun, if they even happen.
Junior Brian Canas said, “I’m really hoping for something outside the box in this season. They tried to go weird with this previous season, but in my opinion they failed. I really hope they get season five right.”
Will Satan be making an appearance in season five of FX’s “American Horror Story”?
“Hotel”‘s rumored ties to the devil have become a hot topic for fans trying to unearth the plot for next season, and a new theory on the subject surfaced this week via a Reddit user.
While everyone should note that the theory is based on pure speculation, it does sound like it could be a compelling storyline for “Hotel”.
As a Reddit user notes, The Eagles’ iconic song “Hotel California” was once interpreted by a group of Evangelicals to be about Anton Lavey, who founded the Church Of Satan. The same group also claimed that Lavey once bought a hotel in San Francisco and converted it into the Church of Satan.
With a lot of speculation suggesting that the show will be set in California, the theory could fit. Game ‘n Guide has also proposed a satanic worship-focused “Hotel” — noting that “AHS: Asylum” proved creator Murphy’s interest in exploring satanism and demonic possession for the show.
What does everyone think? Are you excited for season five? Did season four ruin the series for you?
